Community resources There are a number of resources available to help Jackson County residents quit smoking. Read through the list below tosee which option best meets your personal needs. Jackson County Health Department provides a number of smoking cessation options for its residents. Among its many activities, the department helps sponsor and coordinate programs, acts as a source of free information (especially for pregnant women), and provides assistance with referrals. (No limit to the number of calls). Hours of operation: 7 a.m.- 7 p.m. If put on hold, leave your contact information and your call will be returned. American Lung Association 1-866-QUIT-YES (1-866-784-8937) Student Health Programs Community members can participate in quit smoking programs for an initial fee of $40 with a $10 refund upon completion of the program. The cost of patches is not included in the fee.
